RedHat 9 and S-ATA

    Hello Everyone,

    THE SHORT VERSION:
    Where do I find CD images for RedHat 9 that support installation to
    S-ATA drives?

    THE LONG VERSION:
    I am not a Linux person at all, but I need Linux for running some
    important applications. And here the problems begin :)

    a) The application I need to run on Linux requires RedHat 9. I cannot
    use Fedora, and I cannot use any other Linux flavour

    b) The machine Iwas using until recently decided to quit and take early
    retirement, emmiting smoke and sparks while doing so

    c) I got myself a new machine whith all kinds of bells, whistles, and
    fireworkd

    d) Trying to install RH9 fails with: No disk drives found. The cause
    is that RedHat 9 has kernel 2.4.28 which does not (yet) understand S-ATA
    ~ drives

    e) All my attempts to create an install disk that would support S-ATA
    drives have failed. Well, as I said: I am not a Linux person

    f) Where can I find a set of RedHat 9 CD images that allow
    installation to S-ATA drives?
