Fedora Install

I installed FC3 a while back and everything was fine. but i switched
the two hard drives i have (in regards to master/slave) formatted,
and attempted to reinstall fedora core 3. but then it gave me a 'cant
read disk geometry problem'

I used the updated img to fix that problem, and fedora installed, but
it freezes at "Configuring Kernel Parameters"

So I removed "rhgb" from the startup config and the system finally got
past that, but then it gave me lots of errors trying to startup the
graphical interface...

what should i do?
