Why not just use grub as your primary boot loader? I do that with XP
without any problems, and used to with NT, and you don't have to
keep anything up to date like that. Don't know if it works with win2k
though, although I've no reason to suspect it doesn't, seeing as it's
an intermediate version between nt and XP, AIUI.

You can try it with your current installation of grub - just add in the
chain for the win2k boot (see the manual), then boot normally,
use win2k's boot loader to select your grub/linux boot and then from
there select the win2k partition - you could go around in loops forever
that way but it'll verify that your grub config is correct - once you
are happy you can reinstall grub to the MBR and then never use the windows
loader directly again. It's the thing of the future, you know ;-)
