install question?

bear with me here....i have never used any linux os. but i decided to give
it a shot. so heres the deal.. i read the fedora core4 project and decided
to burn the 4 cds and try it..i burned them to cd and can see them on my
main computer in the dvd drive and cd rom...so i remove them and place them
in another computer and the cdrom or cdrw does not see any files on them at
all..... on the first pc when i reboot it will boot up for install ..on the
other computer which doesnt see any files no booting at all..
the second computer has all bios settings correct.
so my question why is the second computer not seeing the files....im sure
the disc is finalized so it should see all files on any pc.
any help tia
