Location of Java plug-in to Firefox

Hi

I hope somebody will give information about how to get Firefox running
Java applets in Fedora Core 5.

I have downloaded the Sun Java plug-in (a .bin file).

Now I would like to know where to place said .bin file and if further
installation is required that information too.
