vga=792 not working in FC6

Hi,
I just installed FC6 in a clean disk and added the vga=792 option in
my grub list. To my surprise FC6 is not setting the display to the
correct resolution, the screen remains 80x25.
Looks like any vga=xxx option is ignored or not working. The vga=xxx
option works fine with any previous version of FC (1-5) or any other
version of linux.
Any ideas what is going on?
