add software not working

HI All , can anyone help me on this ?
i have installed FC6 on a Dell latitude C600. i can update FC6 using
yum update from terminal but i am not able to update using the GUI. it
always prompt no valid baseurl for repos: update.
i can access internet. kindly assist.
