DVD writing problems on RH9.0

Hi,
I have just setup a RH9 Linux box with a Memorex DVD+RW unit and also
downloaded Xcdroast for the purpose of backing up our data. The unit is
recognized just fine as a Memorex DVD.
Xcdroast starts fine and I setup the security key from the web site as
instructed. I also changed the media size to 4.5Gb but the DVD track is
not written to disk. I get an error message that the size of the track
is larger than the demo size of 1Gb.
How can I change that? I thought the key from the web page was fine to
get me going.
Any help would be appreciated. I need to back up my data. It is already
filling up my 120Gb disk!
