I am trying to back up my linux partition with the DD command.

What I would like to do is back it up to my first harddrive where I have
a FAT32 partition.

I can't seem to figure out the commands to backup my partition or
restore it.

I looked at the man page for dd and even info dd - but there really
aren't any examples that I could find.

If you know how - could you tell me how to use dd:

To back up my linux partition (the root / partition) to a partition on
my first hard drive

Restore the linux partition from that backup.

Thanks for your help!

Bob
