I'm running RH9.0, standard kernels, etc. One new twist that showed up
with either RH8 or RH9 is an odd screensaver mode that looks like a
television that has lost horizontal lock. I find it horribly distracting
and I want to make it go away.
I've tried running xscreensaver-demo to turn on my own screensaver. If
I set my screensaver parameters to very low numbers (off in one minute),
whatever this horrible looking screensaver is actually wakes up the
monitor after it has gone to sleep, displays the obnoxious patterns for
a while and then turns the monitor back off.
I've looked for what's doing this and I can't find it. Any help to make
this thing go away would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian McMinn
