I may have partly damaged my primary fs, /dev/hda8. I can easily get to
it and even bring up X. However, when I exit, I get some funky error
msg. My problem originated when Partition Magic aborted be finishing a
partition task. They want me to run fsck. How do I do that? If I try
single user mode, I get a warning that I could cause damage to the fs. I
tried booting up as an expert, but it wants to know where the system is,
CD or HD. I tell it HD and then identify the partition as /dev/hda8 and
it tells me that it doesn't recognize this as a RH partition. What to
do?
