Hi,
I need help diagnosing problem I have with my RH9 linux system.
I'm experiencing strange interference between Java app (Sun JDK
1.4.2_02) and Samba (samba-2.2.7a-8.9.0).
When Java application is running for some time, Samba will malfunction.
Users can't login, some file operations lock up... Restarting Samba
won't help, killing java process will.
There is no shortage of system resources as far as I can tell (lots of
free RAM, CPU is idle, I/O minimal).
Looks like deadlock of some sort to me, or damaged/crashed pthreads
support. I've checked java process using lsof but found nothing
suspicious open.
Any ideas about how to further diagnose the cause of this???
Jan
