How to convert from primary partition to extended, logical?
Date: Sun, 30 Nov 2003 12:49:10 GMT
Hello,
When I installed Linux RH8.0 using defaults. It installed Linux in 3
primary partitions, one for "/root", one for "/" and one for swap. Is it
possible using Linux command to convert primary partition to
extended, logical, so my Linux will be under one extended partition?
I have Knoppix - Linux that boots from CD, so I can boot Knoppix and issue
those commands.
On my HD I have one Win98 partition and 3 Linux partitions. Somehow
my Partition Magic 5.0 claims that my HD is corruped (error 116) and
refuse to deal with it, but PM has an option to convert partitions from
primary to extended.
Thanks,
Zalek
