Hi,

How much memory does your X server need??
Mine starts up with about 30-40MB memory usage and usually ends up with 100MB
and sometimes even up to 300MB:

How much does your X server need ? How much is normal?

I am wondering, because I don't know why an X Server needs such different
amounts of memory. It "simply" has to draw on a screen and does not have to save
a lot of data !? Strange thing is also, that the memory usage slightly increases
over the time and does not decrease again (when for example closing all
applications).
Is this a memory leak? I am using a riva128 zx Card with the nv driver with rh9
PII 350, 256 MB RAM and 800MB swap.
