Hi All ,
Has anyone been able to get logwatch to work with Redhat 8 .
It works fine on my Redhat 7.3 servers.
I have uninstalled it and even installed the version from 7.3, to no
avail.
The only output I get is when I specify --detail high and then I only
get cron.
The only difference I can see is the version of Perl.
Also when I specify --debug the old version seems to have the commands
in a different order in the pipes. eg. removeheaders followed by
onlyservice
8.0 logwatch --print --debug 100
Processing Service: sshd2
( /bin/cat /tmp/logwatch.XXqNLaPX/messages |
/etc/log.d/scripts/shared/removeheaders |
/etc/log.d/scripts/shared/onlyservice sshd2|
/etc/log.d/scripts/services/sshd2 )
7.3 logwatcg --print --debug 100
Processing Service: sshd2
( /bin/cat /tmp/logwatch.XXvRWX6B/messages |
/etc/log.d/scripts/shared/onlyservice sshd2|
/etc/log.d/scripts/shared/removeheaders |
/etc/log.d/scripts/services/sshd2
