print filters in cups

    Using RH9 Cups.

    How do I print a banner to an oki320 dot matrix parallel
    printer connected to a hpjetdirect 3port box?

    In RH7.2 lprng
    I modified /usr/share/printconf/util/jetdirectprinter to print
    banners. What would be the equivalent in CUPS?

    If I select banner in RH9, the postscript banner
    comes out in ascii. I do not want to use the oki320
    graphics driver - that banner works.
     I want to print plain ascii
    with plain, ascii banner pages, using /usr/libexec/filters/lpbanner or
    /usr/games/banner.

    I want to stick with CUPS rather thanconvert to lprng.
