Wow, thanks for the information. Yes I'm using Red Hat 9, the version
that comes with 'The Red Hat Linux 9 Bible', since I wanted to make sure
I got all the stuff I needed for certain. ;) I guess my biggest
concern is my lack of knowing what I'm doing as far as installing FC1.
I've heard OF it, but never really seen or tried it before. ;) And
since I pretty much have my system running how I want it to (short of
not being able to hear audio CD's), I'm afraid to touch anything that
might mess it up. ;)

Now that you've told me, though, I know I can backup my Evolution
settings & stuff safely. That makes me feel better! I'll give FC1 a
shot one day, just need to learn what I'm doing a bit more before I
start making overly-bold moves for my level of knowledge!

I guess the only other complaint I have with Linux is the lack of native
games (first person shooters, MMORPGs, etc...) but I DO wish installing
things was a bit nicer to me. ;) Having used Windows my whole life
until about 2 weeks ago, the installation of things can be a tad tricky.
;)

I have a question, though, about Linux as a whole. Why are there so
many distros of it? Seems like it started off with a great idea and
then fragmented into many good ideas, that are somehow only mildly
related. I dunno, as I said, I'm new and don't know much about it,
other than I love Linux a LOT compared to Windows XP. Just wish I could
play Dark Age of Camelot & Tribes 2 in here natively. I know there's a
native version of Tribes 2, but I don't think my wife would understand
me buying a game that I've already bought before. ;)
