I am trying to set up gnome meeting on my RH9 workstation, 2.4.20-28.9
kernel.
video is working perfectly, but I'm having a problem with the sound.
The soundcard is an original Audigy Platinum Ex with the remote
input/output box with mic2, aux2 and linein2 inputs along with optical and
spdif connections.
The soundcard is working fine under linux. I can play sound fine and use
headphones plugged into the external box - and the direct inputs into the
soundcard work, but it is a major operation in my case to use the inputs
on the back of the computer
All connections on the remote box work perfectly under whinedoze and it's
much more convenient to plug things in and out on the desktop rather than
grovelling in a confined space and trying to find the right hole (oops
that sounds a bit smutty ;~)).
I can't seem to get any sound from the outboard mic input. Is there a way
to use these outboard inputs under linux, or does the emu10k1 driver just
not know about them?
Any hints, tips, urls or otherwise welcome!
TIA
Dave
