Hi,
I have a RH9 running on Intellistation Z Pro and am trying to add
an external SCSI device (HD). To this end, I run a SCSI ribbon cable
from the motherboard to a 68pin socket and plugged into it a SCSI zip
drive just to test it. Well, i have no idea how to make my linux
recognize
the new device. I expected to have it detected during the boot
sequence,
or at least be given the opportunity to configure SCSI and assign a ID
to
my new device. On Windows XP, any device plugged into SCSI channel is
automatically detected and assigned an ID. Not so on Linux?

Any words of wisdom or experience you're willing to share will be
very appreciated.
