I'm running Redhat AS 3.0 and am confused by the instructions in the manual
on setting up cron. The docs suggest that all I need do is add additional
lines to /etc/crontab or drop a file with command lines into /etc/cron.d. If
I do that, my new cron tasks do not run (however, the tasks in cron.daily,
cron.monthly, etc do run). So the question is: how do I add more tasks to
the crontab file or to a file in /etc/cron.d and get them to be run? (Also,
I don't understand the point of the /etc/cron.d directory if all scheduled
tasks can be listed in /etc/crontab).
    Thanks,
    Daniel
