HP psc 1210 went grayscale only!

    Redhat 9, CUPS v1.1.17, HP psc 1210.

    Everything was working fine, then black began to fade to color on multipage
    documents.

    I changed the tri-color cartridge.

    Now the printer only prints in grayscale from applications.

    I have tried fiddling with the settings at http://localhost:631/printers
    with no joy.

    They are: General> Page Size: Letter
              General> Printout Mode: High Quality (Color cartridge)
              Printout Mode> 600 dpi, Color, Black + Color Cartr.

    The CUPS test page prints in color. The OpenOffice test page prints in
    color. That is all so far.

    What did I do this time?
