Hard or symbolic link quesion.

I'm planning on moving all my mp3s to my linux machine. One thing I'd
like to do to save space is to replace the files in "greatest hits"
and anthology type directories (my directory structure is
artist/album/song) with links.
Shold I use symbolic or hard links and why?
