    First, I and others have already informed you that that there is no such
    thing as RH Enterprise WS Release 9 (Shrike). To find out what you have
    installed use the command; cat /etc/redhat-release

    Second, since you will not identify your printer or provide any other
    helpful information, visit; http://www.linuxprinting.org/ for help in
    getting this resolved.

    Also please take the time and review;

    Please quit guessing and assuming, the manuals (please download them and
    have them handy for reading and reference) are here;

    http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/

    All the updates are available here(and a number of other places);

    ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/updates/9/en/os/

    I have already told you (in earlier replies to you in this newsgroup)
    about using apt/synaptic or yum along with the Fedora Legacy site (
    http://fedoralegacy.org/ ) to update your system. Since you do not have
    (or want to) your Linux system connected to the Internet visit the ftp
    site listed above and download all the updates for use when needed,
    required or wanted. It is a good idea to download them all and have them
    available on CD or other media. Additional help is available in a number
    of places, for example; http://www.tldp.org/
