running rh9.0 and had a power failure earlier. as the machine tried
to reboot, it gets the following error: "RPL-ROM-FFC: 5 not found"
"Insert Boot Disk"
i insert the boot floppy (which i shouldn't have to) and then get the
following messages as the boot process terminates with just a complete
system lock up:
"end_request, I/O error, dev 03:02 (hda), sect. 2
ext3-fs: unable to read superblock mount: error 22 mounting ext3
pivotroot: pivot_root (/sysroot,/sysroot/initrd) failed: 2
no init found"
if this is a h/d failure, can anyone tell me how i can pull the data
off this thing before attempting to blow the whole drive away and
start over. also, is there a way to reinstall linux and keep the
installed addons?
