Well looking at those firewall rules, you're not *totally* open to the
public anyways! :-) The Samba server can be told to listen on only specific
interfaces by editing the /etc/samba/smb.conf. Look for the line that starts
with "interfaces =". As far as email, I hope you know what you're doing. I
run an email server on a Linux box here but it's only for internal use (I
pop the incoming mail from my ISP's server using fetchmail, and I send by
going directly at their SMTP server). SMTP servers are incredibly easy to
misconfigure, potentially causing you to become a relay for Spam. If you
think you've got it all worked out, then you should be OK with the ports
that you run. However, the fact that you didn't recognize the IMAP port
makes me wonder a little bit :-)
