After the ATZ (reset) command, and before the ATDT (dial)
command, wvdial needs to send a init string to set your modem up
correctly; for example, the protocol fallback methode,
compression mode, error correction, and what type of returned
result codes. In your config file ( /etc/wvdial.conf ) you
should have a line:
INIT2 = 'this is where you put you modem comands'
I can't tell you what modem commands because I don't know what
chipset your modem uses.
