What do I need to do to get RH7 to detect my second NIC. It's an
Intel EtherExpress Pro 10/100 (PCI). When I installed RH7, the first
NIC (a 3Com Fast EtherLink XL - 3C905b) was detected and setup
painlessly; but the Intel NIC was not found. I downloaded the setup
disk for the Intel NIC, but it doesn't really give any useful
configuration options. The diagnostics program showed that the NIC
is good though, and set to IRQ 10, which does not conflict with
anything else in the system.
I need to get this working properly soon, as the Intel NIC connects
to our home LAN here for file sharing and as a way for the other
systems to connect to the Internet. The 3Com NIC is connected
directly to the cable modem. What will it take to get Linux to
recognize the second NIC?
Thanks.
More questions will be coming down the pike after I get past this
little hurdle.
