For a minute I couldn't figure out what you were talking about here. I am
fairly newbie, but not so newbie that I would surf and read as root.
The 'root' section of my address is phony - for that matter, so is the rest
of it. But, thanks for the tip, anyway.

I don't understand most of the above, but that is fixable easily enough.

I knew from reading that telnet is not secure and that something called
SSH was the way to go, but heck, you can only learn so much at a time.

Anyway, I will open the books and see if I can get up to speed with SSH.
