I posted a question last week about using my SoundBlaster Audigy sound card.
Someone pointed me to sourceforge emu10k1 v0.20a. Now, I can hear sound.
However, my problem is this - I have to log in as root and do a 'modprobe
emu10k1' to get it going. I would like to have it start up automatically.
I put some alias references in the /etc/modules.conf file:
alias sound emu10k1
alias sound-service-0-0 sound
alias sound-slot-0 sound
I still do not have any sound on startup. I would really like to be able to
make this happen without recompiling the kernel because I am scared I'll
mess something else up. Does anyone have any ideas? I would be happy with
something similar to a .bat file that could be put in something equivalent
to a 'Startup' folder. (Forgive the Microsoft reference).
