Yes. Google is your friend. This has been asked many times
in recent months. A search of groups.google.com should find
several threads with the answers. I don't know the answers
off the top of my head, but I remember seeing them in
linux-related newsgroups such as this one,
comp.os.linux.redhat, etc.
IIRC, the basic bottom line is Redhat took MP3 capability
out of the xmms they distribute due to licensing or patent
issues, but there is a package with base name including goth
"xmms" and "mp3" available elsewhere that makes makes MP3s
work.
