    Does 'su' work for any user at all?

    If this is the user, then how did you create the user? How did you setup
    the pass for this user?

    Do you have any alias to 'su' cmd, do 'which su' to check?

    Check the perms and filesize of 'su'? Or simply do this on the prompt:

    $ rpm -qV `rpm -qf /bin/su`

    If you see any output post it here.

    V.
