File Integrity Check

For some reason a web page on mozilla locked up my system for about 35
minutes then X logged out to login black screen that would not let me
log in, so I reset computer waiting to hit "Y" for the file check, but
as you know everything scrolls by so fast that when I found the line it
only gave me 1 second to respond! Where can I change this value to like
5 seconds?
