Error Compiling Arson

got this message when i went to compile arson on redhat 9 during the make:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lart_lgpl_2
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

i dont see any packages for gpl or lgpl so im kinday stumped. anyone have an
idea? TIA
