RH9: Radeon 9700 PRO -> DVI -> Belinea Flatscreen ???

hello
i just installed RedHat Linux 9,0 on my PC. it has a radeon 9700 graphics
adapter and a belinea monitor which is a flatscreen with 1024 x 768
resolution.
the problem is that i just see half of my desktop and the screen does not
automatically scroll when the mouse runs out of the screen.
can anyone tell me where the problem is?
