Hi!

I've just bought a Compaq notebook. It has kind of a special-config.
Centrino processor built-in Wlan widescreen with an odd resolution (1280
* 800) and so on. Up until now i've used Exceed to get An X-server when
using graphical remote-apps. But it works so and so so im thinking of
insstalling a lightlinux just to get hold of the x-server in an easy way.
So my question is how old (light) version of linux(ie. RedHat) i could
install and still use my (Wide)screen, my Wlan and a usb-mouse. I think
that the centrino's speedstepping is machine-controlled and nothing to
consider but im not sure.

I realize that i could scale any linux-distibution to fit my needs but
it seems like a big project and big-projects is more or less what I'm
trying to avoid when ditching Exceed.
