Sorry, error was -50 and not -51.

I find that if I move the files one folder at a time, the problem goes
away. I just can't take a folder containing multiple folders and expect
it to transfer unattended like it used to. Do I need to go back to the
version of netatalk supplied with RH 7.2 and toss the RH 9.0 version?
