So /etc/modules.conf should contain something like

alias eth0 e100

I'm not sure how you got that information out of ifconfig.

Is the windows box running at 10 or 100 Mbits/sec? Half duplex
would be expected for 10, but not for 100.

"My network card doesn't work" comes up a lot in this and related
newsgroups. Google is your friend.
