[This followup was posted to linux.redhat]
my system is Linux Redhat 9 (kernel version 2.4.20-8)
When I use the "File->Open" function in applications such as "Kwrite"
and "Text Editor" I can't see my dot files (eg. .bashrc, .vimrc,
etc...).
I modified my desktop oreferences to show "hidden" files, but that
didn't help.
So far my Google searches have turned up nothing useful.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?
