Everything looks ok in /dev... I think I verified that the error "I/O
error: dev 08:30,secort 0' is refering to what I said, which is strange.

Have you tried moving the disks around? take your 3rd fujitsu right out
of there and put the Maxtor in and see what happens. Check the cable,
termination and if possible maybe put the set into another system or
start pulling stuff to see if there are conflicts of some sort. Try
monkeying with the SCSI bios, and see if any of the utilities in there
can tell you anything. I would think though that doing the disk swap
might tell you the most. If you can try the Maxtor drive in another
system on another card do that to!
