Hi, i hope someone can help me!
    here is my setup:

Computer 1: Linux Redhat 9 (Athlon) with an Alcatel Speedtouch 330 ADSL
modem connecting as a static IP address to the internet

Computer 2: Windows XP Pro (Athlon) connecting to the internet over a simple
network to Computer 1's network card. then using IP Masquerading to access
the internet.

This works fine! i can access the internet using both computers.

But I need java to be working through both browsers (desperately!!)
...so I tried to get java plugin working on my netscape or my mozilla on
Computer 1...

i made a symbolic link from java's libjavaplugin_oji.so to netscape's plugin
directory and the same for the mozilla plugin directory

so I left that and tried a java applet through Internet Explorer on Computer
2 and I couldn't use java through the browser there either! (but I could
before if i connected Computer 2 directly to the internet by itself using
the ADSL modem using the standard winxp drivers)

Does anyone have any clue why I can't use java on either computers!? even
one of them would be nice :-)

thanks in advance for your help!
Eurig
