In KDE, there's a keyboard shortcut to kill a window, I configured it to
Ctrl + Alt + K. After pressing these keys, I was able to kill the window.

Yes, I do, but as I said, there was no response to the keyboard, though
the mouse was still moving. There was almost nothing else I could do.

Ummm, I just tried pressing these keys (ctrl-alt-F1) and you know what
happened?... I was dropped to a console where I was asked to login. I
logged in but didn't know what to do to return to X :( I tried startx but
it said there was already a display openned... In the mean time, there was
still music playing in the background 'cos I was listening to some music
before being dumped here. I again had no choice but Ctrl-Alt-Del to
reboot. So... what's the purpose of this console and how can I get back to
X from there?
Thanks anyway!
