Well, I am surprised that Linux is asking for a driver disk. You can find
the adapted driver as a module which is part of the kernel. It is called
aic7xxx. I don't know how you do a boot floppy but your modules.conf
file needs a line:
alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
and perhaps also
install aic7xxx /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install aic7xxx
but I am no longer sure of the second line since I am running kernel 2.6.
