Newbie to RPM: Help with upgrades

Could somebody please help. I am currently running redhat 9 and i
would like to upgrade certain programs to the levels that are in
Fedora Core 1. I downloaded the specific rpms from the fedora
downloads pages. However when i try to upgrade my current packages I
get errors like those below.

Could somebody explain to me what these messages actually mean. And
maybe where i can fine what it want's. And maybe anything else that i
might need to know.
