Hi!

I'm running an apache web server (httpd-2.0.40-21.9) on redhat 9
(2.4.20-30.9). http runs fine, but when I configure for secure http
connections according to instructions given in Red Hat Linux 9: Red Hat
Linux Customization Guide, and test connecting https://mysite
(http://mysite is OK) using for instance mozilla it fails with the
following error code: "The connection to mysite has terminated
unexpectedly. Some data may have been transferred."

The connection attempt generates the log entries below.

/var/log/httpd/access_log:
some.domain.name - - [31/Mar/2004:14:37:19 +0200] "\x80g\x01\x03" 501
296 "-" "-"

/var/log/httpd/error_log:
[Wed Mar 31 14:37:19 2004] [error] [client some.ip.number] Invalid
method in request !g!!

PLease let me know if more info needed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
