I have an interesting problem.
I have a little ftp server set up so a friend can browse the net at
college and ftp files to my computer at home to be burnt onto cd as there
isn't a burner at his college.
The problem is, I'm on a normal ADSL line with a dynamic IP so he has to
call or email me to get the new IP address if I've rebooted.
How can I automatically send him an email with the new IP address every
time I reboot?
I could easily have a script do ifconfig > test.txt ,but then what
command could send the txt file to him?
Thanks
