Hi ,

According to the manuals vmstat bi column shows blocks send to the
device (so disk write)

But during monitoring the system , i see a huge bi value in vmstat ,
but a huge read value in sar -x output + disk read value in oracle
database but no write. It seems bi shows disk reads not writes.

What's wrong here gurus? I will be appreciated for comments,

Kind Regards,
tolga
