love-gate is a win32 trojan. It cannot infect Linux. Where in your system
was it detected? I would hazard a guess that it was in a user's inbox?
If you have any windows computers attached to your network, make sure they
are also fully protected.
I have not been able find any information about a Linux version of this
worm. If you have any info, please post it :)

As I said, if you have any info about the worm, post it. Most virus
definitions include was vulnerabilities a worm is designed to exploit and
you can patch your system accordingly.
Of course, you can endeavour to keep your system regularly up to date,
then these vulnerabilities become less of a problem.
