Hello All,
I am very new to Linux. Installed Linux 9.0 with the latest kernel. My
problem is :
1. The background image and all windows I open are shifted to the right.
There is about 1/2 inch of black space on the right of the screen and the
scroll bars on the
right are invisible.
2. Any changes I make to the system are lost once I restart the machine. For
Example, every time I restart, I have to turn the NUM LOCK on. Is this
normal.
What I have done :
1. I tried adjusting the video settings in X Configuration but changes are
lost once I close the window.
2. I tried adjusting the video settings in X Configuration and saving the
new configuration in kc.cfg but still changes are lost once I close the
window.
3. I tried modifying the XFree86Config but still the image is shifted.
Your help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
