Adding second wireless card profile

Hi. I am trying to add a second profile (using the Network
Configuration tool in Redhat 9) for a second PCMCIA wireless card. I
already have a Linksys wireless G card with linuxant drivers, but I
wanted to use a card that would work with Kismet. I invested in a
Orinoco Gold a/b/g ComboCard (model 8480-WS), and am unable to get it to
add to the Network Configuration.

As "Device", I have it listed as "eth2". If I set it as "eth0", then it
overrides all of my other eth0 devices (my Linksys card with linuxant
drivers). When I configure this eth2 device, I am unable to "Probe" the
MAC Address (I get an error, "Device not found"). Also, in the Wireless
Device Configuration dialog for this device under the Hardware Device
tab, it lists "Hardware Device" as "eth0", and underneath that it lists
"Hardware" as "eth2 (Lucent Orinoco and Prism II-based PCMCIA
wireless)". Why the discrepancy here?

My question is, is it possible to add another network profile for a
different PCMCIA card that interfaces on the same eth port? Even if I
change "eth2" to "eth0", and corrupt my working Linksys card profile, it
still can't find the device when I probe for the MAC Address. I am
using a 2.4 kernel (the default for the RH 9 boxed set). Does this
kernel not support my Orinoco card? I am sort of lost here. I guess I
have two problems here: adding the second profile, and getting the
Orinoco card to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Dan
