Got a fresh Fedora Core 2 install that was done off DVD. Haven't installed
any updates or anything yet. The installation process detected my Audigy
card, and even played a sample, so I thought everything was good in the
world.
Log in, get to desktop, audio doesn't work. Apparently it's because they
packaged a faulty ALSA build with the Fedora 2 distro, or something like
that. That's what I'd read, anyway.
I'm planning on doing an update of all the installed software using
apt/Synaptic later this evening, and was wondering if anyone knows of an apt
RPM repository that I could get a newer version of ALSA off of while I'm
downloading everything else.
